Beauty of the Fae: Ogre's Mask

If you’ve ever come face to face with an Ogre (and let’s hope you haven’t) you may have experienced sheer terror at his lumpy green countenance. As fear might take hold, it is important to remember that while Ogres have a bad rap, they can still teach us a thing or two about finding beauty in the unlikeliest of places.

Bearing certainly not what you would call beautiful skin, Ogre's happen to find themselves very beautiful, and who are we to say otherwise when beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

The recipe for this mask will give you a lumpy yellow-green complexion, but once it is removed you’ll find your skin soothed by oatmeal, hydrated by honey, and brightened by turmeric.

This recipe is suitable for all skin, especially dry, sensitive, and blemish-prone.

For one mask you will need:

1 tbsp finely ground Oatmeal

½ tsp Turmeric Powder

1 ½ tsp Milk

1 tsp Honey

  1. If your oatmeal is not already ground, place in a food processor or blender and grind until a fine meal is achieved.

  2. Mix oatmeal and turmeric in a small bowl. Add milk and honey, blend until combined.

  3. Carefully paint mixture onto face and relax for 20-30 minutes.

  4. Remove with a damp cloth. Rinse any remaining mask with warm water.
