Beauty of the Fae: Titania's Floral Face Steam

Who can say they have a beauty regimen as lavish as the Queen of the Faeries? Steal this trick from Titania and you certainly can. If you should come across her caravan deep in the woods on a Midsummer night, surrounded by her court of faeries, pay her a compliment (she loves to be adored) and she might share that she maintains her dewy complexion with this floral facial steam. What could be more fitting for a Queen who is surrounded by them?

Prepare her floral facial steam to bring the essence of flowers to your skin to alleviate inflammation, add hydration, and soften dryness.

Suitable for all skin.

You will need:

½ cup Dried Calendula Flowers

Petals from 1 Fresh Rose or ⅓ cup dried rose petals

½ cup Chamomile buds

¼ cup Lavender buds

¼ cup Rosemary leaves

6 drops of lavender essential oil

A cloth or towel

A large glass or heat-resistant bowl

  1. On a stovetop, bring 3 cups of water to an almost-boil.

  2. Place flowers in a large, heat-resistant bowl, mix lightly with your hands. Add drops of essential oils if you choose.

  3. When water is near boiling, remove from stove and pour over flower mixture

  4. Drape cloth or towel over your head and lean over the steam, letting it open your pores and increase circulation. Take deep breaths of the sweet floral aroma.
